Experiment 70 Overhit and Drop from Raid Bosses

    purpose: to find out how overhit affects drop from raid bosses.

    attacker: yul sagittarius lvl.97, equipped with the best equipment and weapon imaginable, buffed with gm buff and without penalty. this character kills raid bosses in one shot with a skill or normal attack.

    target: raid boss guillotine of death (lvl. 97)

    test:

    first, the attacker killed 500 raid bosses with auto attack (no overhits). after this the attacker killed 500 raid bosses with [​IMG] pinpoint shot. the results for drop in different conditions can be observed in the table below.

    conclusion: as you can see from the table the amount of dropped items with and without overhit is almost the same.

    now i hope all the jajaja/br kids will stop crying for overhit at zaken/freya instances.

    oh always was 10% or so more xp. nothing else, nothing more. it's fairy tales like "unsumon fairies because it affect drops in fortuna" and other funny stories.

    edit: also some additional info. why peoples avoiding higher level supports even in freya?

    but not for raids
    since overhit was invented for mobs and not for raids what got milions of hp
    if you would like to gain extra exp from raids develop a milion power skill

    for players who re using xp runes etc etc, overhit gives great bonus.

    exactly, you stack enough and that 10% extra is totally boss (and it's not just 10% anymore).

    kill a raid for example zellaka , with overhit you get around 250k bonus exp , with your beloved vitality still the same , with pa and with rune +250% !!!!!!!!!!! wooooooooooooow thats almost milion bonus exp!!!!!!4444444

    again fully of brazil nologics ill retire

    you also gain more from rb itself (counting in rune + pa), and to be honest over hit costs you absolutely nothing. might as well go for it and get a small xp cookie.

    if you kill "solo" mobs you can get about 30% more xp if you do the maximum overhit. imagine an extension of the mob's hp bar below 0 which extends about 1/3 more of the mob's current hp bar.
    if your overhit skill hits the mob for more than 1/3 of its current hp then you definitely can get this bonus xp.
    talking about bosses tho... there isnt any overhit skill that can does more than 30% of boss' hp. if a boss has 500.000.000 hp
    and your best overhit skill does 50.001 dmg and you manage to hit it when the boss has 1 hp left then you'll get 0.0001% bonus xp.

    that's what i personally think about overhit. i can say im quite sure about that cause im an "overhit freak" when it comes to farming solo mobs. i guess it works the same for bosses...

    iss use debuff and autoattack, tanks also, and healer use mol (wich decrease hp) and sometimes they sum his lumi too (wich is op compared to those newly 85 on requiem no ele).
    who knows, too risky to put a 99 healer/tank/iss and dont get any of those uber drops from zaken/freya.

    as for zaken/freya, what is most annyoing is to see for example 'zaken drop pt' with 85-89, or 85-87 rooms. optimal level of this instance since raid itself is 83 is 85-85, acording to:

    and i guess i'll stick to this. test show only: drop - yes/no, but drop ≠ drop.

    you can inv 90+ to zaken, but he wont hit, so why ppl would want to inv him? i inv 90+ for freya/zaken but only supports.
    ofc there is random chance that with 85-85 pt u wont get smth good. as i heard how ppl with 90lvl get blessed zaken, but are u sure that 90lvl player is dd and hit, because there is diff between 90+ being in pt and making dmg for rb.

    when i make zaken pt, i take only 85 dds and heal/iss any lvl but i ask them to only debuff once per 30s and no hit at all :)
    same for freya, dds 85-87, the rest w/e, only debuff + no hitting, it will not guarantee 100% super drop, u can drop nothing with proper levels and get ton of drops with 90lvl chars, it is random chance, but with proper lvls ( 85 max zaken, 87 lvl max freya on dds ) u have the highest chance for drops i believe
