first of the 4game installer is designed for a windows system and is having many problems,
second the last chronicle that worked without gg on linux was interlude,
third there is no way for linux to emulate the ingame font for armors and chat, so why bother if the game is not designed for it ?

it does work if you patch the game to play without gameguard which is a rule violation there and can lead to ban eventually. you won't start it with gameguard enabled and since you can't start eu without frost here, which works just like gameguard, you can't pass vm error (without patching the system/), you don't even know your login and password in fact since it's changing every few minutes.

so i can say that we officially doesn't support linux. well, you can try to launch l2 there but there will be no guarantee and no support from us, so you would do it at your peril
