i think that over 95% of the players that are anticipating l2classic agree that pay-to-play is the method of choice, so that is not what this topic is about. it is mainly about subscription fees. there are pros and cons for both high and low subscription price.

    pros for high subscription fee:

    • more direct money for innova, especially at the start
    • no need to implement l2-store or anything similar to it
    • will lower amount of dual-box players and many solo players will be "forced" into playing as a team (which is the main purpose of the game)
    • lower amount of bots (provided they are banned properly)

    cons for high subscription fee:

    • lower amount of players in general
    • lower amount of players on long-term (5-10 euros might not be problem for some1, but if that some1 is planning on playing it for a years it could translate into hundreds of euros)

    pros for low subscription fee:

    • much more people in general
    • higher population on long-term

    cons for low subscription fee:

    • innova might be forced into opening l2-store of some sort
    • higher amount of bots
    • higher amount of dual-box (solo) players

are there more factors that i forgot to mention? discuss and argue for either option and also participate in poll/survey, which can help innova staff i believe.

if moderator could change the option 8-10 euros to 8-9 euros, so that we don't have an interference (it was a typo). thanks.

    thanks :)

i see that survey is already doing well, but i would also like to read people's opinions. maybe they will have different view of the matter than i have. are there other options that could be added combined with subscription (premium accounts that doesn't influence gameplay or donation poll in which people could donate additional money if neccesary to prevent l2-store popping out) ?

6-7€... more over that will prevent a lot of people to play... my cp don't want to pay more than 7€/month to play... so, 6€ is the best offer from my pov.

i think more ranging from 10 to 15 would be the best way to go, because while it's actually a good bit of money to spend monthly on a game, i think everyone can give up one saturday evening out eating/drinking, and if one isn't willing to do so my guess is they aren't into the game enough. i suppose everyone with a stable internet connection can gather up 10€ for their a game which can give countless hours of entertainment.

if subscription is too low i'm afraid the risk of bots and, even worse, p2w store/events/whatnot would be too high.

maybe long time subscriptions could give some discount, much like pa atm.

after all, wow has always had i think 13€ monthly sub, and still it has always been the most played mmorpg if i'm not mistaken.

10 euro is the highest amount i'm willing to pay. i can afford more but i don't think people are going to want to pay more than that. and 10 euro is more than enough. it was the old l2 classic price of about 15 dollars when it was weak.

hmm i think 6-9euro is good
if you want to bring ppl back you must have a low price on sub fee
    you can add an l2-store with accessories/inventory expansions/wh expansions , but no xp runes/ss packs + :)
im sure you can think of more balanced donates too.

sadly :/ l2 store is needed if we want a long live server
thats why its better if we have a sub fee + l2 store with balanced offers

thats my opinion im sure there is many who will say nono bad idea but : / the server wont survive its better to have a balanced donate from the start than add it after some months and everyone emo quit .

8-9€ enough... many people will have atleast 1 box account , and ofcourse add 3-6-12 months payment method with proper discount.

5 euros, should be good, remember that most l2 players are greeks, romanians, polish not british or german who uses euroes!
so, with polish currency this 5 euros already cost like 20euros... should be fair...

although in greece now they use euro, they aren't wealthy as britain for an example, so the situation is similiar.

i voted 8-9, but i guess that 10 euros should be the perfect price for both innova and 3rd country players (and this comes from someone that lives in romania).

8-9 euro looks good to me. with the exchange rate, that caps the price at $10 for me, which is perfectly fair. it would be a nice break from the $15 fees of the old days and would likely keep a more generous amount of people around.

5-6 euro is fine, more would be too much, this game is old. lineage eternal is coming soon too and it will probably have not much higher monthly fee.

    guys ,

it's nice you're talking about future cost - if we will be able to pay something ( if project starts) :) suggest to wait for end of registration and information from project team :). and anyway i'm sure price will be balanced for all countries in eu zone
