well dont forget they got that income for us+eu with only those **** p2w servers and 1 ru classic (that only ru play..or 99% ru).
now consider an eu classic server (wich us would also try) ... sounds good no??

i think they're going to kill it themselves on purpose once lineage eternal is out. they can't stand their ground nowadays being their flagship game 17 years old (and almost 20 once le is released).

lineage 2 will slowly die _actually its already dead ☺). nc soft had its chances before some years to make a better game. instead they destroyed it, they have tried to reverse their fault but nothing. my opinion is that they should have started building a new lineage series or a brand new game with lineage 2 mechanics. plz dont mention lineage eternal, this **** is similar to diablo 3. even if classic comes in eu it wont stay for more than 1,5 years and if it does it will be extremely low populated.

the only way to revive lineage is by creating lineage 3 based on lineage 2 storyline/game mechanics. nobody will join game which has 11 years old, because that person would need to learn it from the beggining. also engine is too old, and people would like to see new graphics, better gameplay, and especially new content in c1 - hb style. this would make people from l2 go for l3, and by making huge advertising they would bring many new players from other mmo games, which are frustrated about games being casual, full of instances etc. but ncsoft probably doesn't have enought money after fails they made to create totally new game.

nc has enough money, but does not care about players, all milking companies die at some point, i only know 1 company that listens to players right now, all other companies have limited time, before something new gets released...

with some good maintenance, l2 could be the greatest game out of all...

l2 with classic servers made less money in 1q15 than in 1q14 without classic (0,5 billion or so krw less). according to elmar from rochand, there was an exodus of players from both classic and god in korea since january, leading to 3 server merges in classic and a god update making lots of instances to be done with one single party due to lack of players to do them (hymn of soul update).

ncsoft is already developing lineage eternal which is basically a lineage 1 sequel. if they do it right they will have another cash cow for the next 2 decades just like l1 is since 1998. but there is a risk they bring a dumbed down game for casuals, in this case, i'm not sure whether le can be even their second biggest money maker.

forget about copying and paste l2 in a modern engine, it won't happen. if there is anything to blame for l2's slow death is the simple fact that the game has grown boring, it has nothing to do with graphics, but with what the game has to offer as an mmo.

this is the reason why l1 is so successful even featuring worse graphics than diablo 1 while l2 is decaying with 3d graphics.
