    Hello,

My friend is currently lvling an Orc Shaman. We have bought him a 52 m.att D grade weapon and he is using spiritshots.

We're trying to duo backside of Giran at the Silenos and he just cant seem to land Frost Flame on ANY mobs at all, even tho they are white to him? He even has Empower.

Did they nerf the landrate hard?

People are reporting that shaman DoTs are doing less damage than stated in the tool tip, so I wouldn't be surprised if the landing rate is borked too.

Don't think spiritshots does anything with landrate, just cast speed

Your m.atack (and spirit shot) really is not as important as your skill lvl I train orcs in OB with a mid NG no SS. Landing 80% time.

He is lvl 28 and the mobs are white to him (partisan hideway as an example, but also silenos and lizardmen)

as you get no new level of "frost-flame" at level 25 you are doting those mobs with your level 20 skill .. and the dots only have a decent landrate (90%) within a range of 5 levels .. so you basicaly cant dot level 26-30 mobs with a level 20 skill.

    This! ;)

    Your options are pretty limited.

    1. Keep on soloing mobs <25 with Frost Flame (Lv. 1 - 20 skill), until xp gain will be too low and deppresing.
    2. Find pt and buff + land dots via Blaze Quake (Lv.1 - 25 skill).

I've complained about this issue in another topic, was not aware of this one.
At least I now have confirmation it's not only me :) That sucks tho..

Was that the same situation in old official servers? I'm pretty sure it wasn't when I was playing on Franz.

Having the same issue with my orc shaman. Lvl 26 and frost flame land rate on white mobs is close to zero (with SpS).
Guess I have to stop using it until I get a new lvl.

    Couple questions:

    - do blunt weapons increase magic accuracy, they say they do but I'm wondering if it only applies to physical attacks.
    - would increasing WIT via tattoos and set bonuses help?

Landrate of orc's dot depends on skill lvl only.
If you've leveled it on 20 or smth, then got to 34 lvl with that - it won't work on ~26+ monsters.

Even the M.Atk does not play a role on the landing rate?

Nop. Orc shamans used to run around with a starter stick till 48+. It does affect drain damage tho.

So let me get this straight: Drain is the only orc shaman skill that scales with m.atk? What about the land rate of CC skills, aren't those affected by m.atk?

I'm currently saving to buy a goat head staff for my boxed orc shaman, is that a mistake? would I be better off buying him a bow?

Thing is - basic chance of orc shaman debuffs is preety low, Around 55 - 65 %.Epic accs increases it drasticaly tho.

It will take too much time and effort to test that properly, but i can tell you one thing - when you get your shaman to the level, where his debuffs might actually be useful ( ~ 56+ so the overlord would be able to withstand enemy's focus and get close enough to aoe debuff them ) - getting yourself a best C or low B magic blunt won't be a problem. Using OL in pve w/o epic acc is a pain, suffering and humilation.

For warcryer it doesn't really matter, he can sleep/stun/dot ppl even with a 833a club.
