In this experiment, we have checked how the location of an attacker relative to its target can influence a critical damage rate.

Attacker: 74 lvl Gladiator, having all the skills, but without any buffs. Equipment: [IMG] «Elven Sword*Elven Sword»

Target: 74 lvl Gladiator, having all the skills, but without any buffs.

During this experiment, 500 strokes were done for each test, using a basic attack. Damage spread was switched off with a special GM command. The results are stated below:

    Position

    Damage

    Critical Rate

    Frontal attack

    102

    10.0%

    Attack from the back

    122

    13,6%
Summary: as it can be seen from the table, a position of the attacker strongly influences damage of its target.

    Thanks for the good work!

Would really appreciate if you could make the next experiment about daggers. So much is unknown considering landing rate of skills (position / does dex affect it) etc.

    Thanks a lot :)

Very cool test. Thank you for the info.
I wonder if accuracy increases as well ,when attacking from behind compared to front.

Does this work with ranged weapons or against mobs?
