In this experiment a Shield Defense basic rate has been tested for all the races.

Attacker: Human – Warrior, 1 lvl, without any buffs.
    Equipment: [IMG] Long Sword

Target: 1 lvl character of each race, without any buffs.
    Equipment: [IMG] Leather Shield

During this experiment, an attacker made 1.000 strokes on each target. A Shield Defense basic rate has been counted. The results are stated below:

    Character

    CON

    Rate

    Dwarf

    45

    34,6%

    Human (Warrior)

    43

    32,8%

    Human (Wizard)

    27

    20,4%

    Elf (Warrior)

    36

    27,9%

    Elf (Wizard)

    25

    18,9%

    Dark Elf (Warrior)

    32

    24,7%

    Dark Elf (Wizard)

    24

    18,7%

    Orc (Warrior)

    47

    35,7%

    Orc (Wizard)

    31

    23,4%

Moreover, we have also tested Shield Defense basic rate for a Dwarf with different CON stats: 0, 1 and 99. About several hundred strokes were done for each target. The results are stated in the second table:

    CON

    Rate

    0

    0%

    1

    7%

    99

    83%

Summary: as it can be seen from the test, for the characters without any skills, buffs or equipment, a Shield Defense rate depends on a “Defense Rate 20.00”, which is a Leather Shield item parameter, and CON stat. A Defense Rate item parameter can be considered as Shield Defense basic rate for a character, regardless its race. This parameter works only when the shield is equipped. The final rate is counted as a formula, the inputs of which are Defense rate and CON stat combination.
