same effect but not the same calculation.
shock is based on m.mez resist, stun on p.mez resist. both are considered as "mez"

    thanks for the replies :)
if i understood correctly, there are skills that stun the target and other skills that shock the target, although the effect afterwards is the same.
so an archer, which has stun skills, would not benefit from a ring that gives a bonus to shock attacks?

which skills have "shock" effects instead of stun (archers, tanks...)?

i think both stun and shock is the same thing. for example root, shackle and hold has the same effect but different name. you can escape all of those using escape shackle, right? anchor and paralysis seems to have the same effect too. im not sure tho, its just my guess.

i might be wrong, but the tooltip says - escape shackle lv.1 - physical skill
allows you to escape from a captured state. now im really anxious to see if dagger skill removes roots and other captured states.

i think ill test it out and post the results with the video.

i really think that all of this is just a different skill names with the same effect. i cant prove that im right, and you cant prove me wrong. so lets have a healthy discussion?

escape shackle only works with physical root, like the one bd/sws used to have.

whatever bro keep saying that, the truth is that shackle and root are not the same, the fact that in your l2j server (cause it is an l2j not a official server cause in retail is like i say) was that way doesn't mean that retail is that way.

btw ill like to know about that shock, stun stuff...

shock/stun not sure, but shackle is physical based hold, root is magical based hold (if im not mistaken for using "hold" for both terms)
might apply for shock/stun too but afterall i think both are the same just a translation change at some points

@escape shackle: works for every kind of physical hold; not root

how many facts and tests did you layed down at this thread to prove that youre right? "whatever bro, keep saying that"seems like its the first discussion in your life, and you dont yet know what argumentation is. seems like you know everything and we all are just floating in the sea of wrong as you go by in your ship of right, so please, throw me a lifeline so i know?

    wrong,
summon binding cubic lv.1 - magic skill
summons binding cubic. binding cubic uses magic that paralyzes a targeted enemy.

    they are same terms
    for example in hi5 infos
    tank stun skill
    warrior stun
    so shock = trait stun=type
pdam means p.mez now its means patak stuns from fighters

shock is given by mobs while chars giving stun, same thing applies for shackle/root.

you dont really get l2j coding. if skill type is stun it means skill wont make any damage. if its pdam then it is obviously deals damage and it can provide stun/root etc as well as damage.

and after all, l2j is not determinating official server stats. l2j is totally inaccurate.
